Layers at Crafts and Me

Morning,

Well my mojo still hasn't returned completely and I had to force myself last night to make my card for today's challenge at Crafts and Me, which incidentally is Layers, perhaps I just need a holiday....  Now I also have a confession to make, my last 2 cards for Crafts and Me forgot to go on my blog, Ohhhhh myyyy godddd.  Big Ooops, so this post has 3 cards so I can do a little catching up to do.... hehehe.

So first up is the card I made last night for this week's challenge "Layers", not me at all, huh, lol. The artist is Janna Prosvirina and the image is called "Secrets of Spring".  The beautiful papers are MajaDesign Spring Basics and are available from Live and Love Crafts as are all the flowers used.

My new Marianne Designs package arrived today so I just had to squeeze in the new Vintage Swirl LR0271, and I'm sure you'll be seeing alot more of it too.

Card no. 2 using another Janna Prosvirina image, this time called "The Key".  Papers this time are a mix of Maja Design Spring Basics and Marianne Design.  The lace, berries and KortandGodt flowers are from Live and Love Crafts and the beaded pearl stems are from TheRibbonGirl. The tiny butterfly is from the Marianne Design Stamp Set  Victorian Ladies 1 available from BunnyZoe.

Lastly, another image by Janna Prosvirina and this one is called Memories.  The beautiful lilac roses  and the small green one on the tag are from TheRibbonGirl along with the seambinding, irridescent pearls and flatbacked pearl centre.  I have used some shabby white frantage and some fragments, both available from Live and Love Crafts.  Also from LLC is the prima clock paperclip which had some aged wine frantage added.  The gorgeous lace and prima typo light bulb are also from Live and Love Crafts.

The Whimsy postcard stamp is available from BunnyZoe.  The flourishes were made from airdry clay which will be re-stocked at Crafts and Me soon.  The Magnolia Doohickey Tag, one of my absolute favourites is of course available from BunnyZoe.

If you made it to the end then Thank You.  If you like something I haven't mentioned then please email me or leave a comment and I will get back to you, and if I get time over the weekend I will return to add all the links, but with 3 cards I would have been here all night.

Care for your Seeds

Morning Crafters,

Did you all have a lovely weekend? Had a lovely 2 hour walk yesterday through the woods with Hubby and Ollie and it was quite warm.  It was lovely walking through the woods with all the bluebells in full swing.  I'm looking for to this weekend even more, it's my birthday on Friday so I've booked the day off work and as it's followed by a bank holiday Monday, so it will be a lovely long weekend, yayyyy.

The theme for the LLC Girls this week to follow is one we are all excited about, the new Pion Vintage Garden papers, the only difficulty I had was choosing which ones to use first.  Well I am always drawn to blue so I have chosen to use the Flax 6 x 6 and Garden 12 x 12.

I have chosen this little Tilda that I won in a recent competition as she is ideal for the vintage garden collection sewing seeds.  She has been colourerd with distress markers.  All edges have been distressed with walnut stain and gesso.  The wooden butterfly has been frantaged with the shabby blue.

Here's a close up and I have added some of my favourite snow-tex around the edges and 2mm some string pearls.

I have used the new metal roses and have placed them in the centre of each of the butterflies. The beautiful lace is called Lace Alencon.
I have added a magnolia doohickey wrapped so lovely tag and added some of that fabulous shabby blue seam binding, clay heart with a little frantage on it and one of the prima typo bulbs saying "Care".

I cut the little seed packet out and edged with walnut ink distress ink.  All links are below the post.

Morning Crafters,

Hope your all having a good weekend.   The sun is shining here so I'll be off for a nice long walk with Hubby and Ollie my little Bichon to Ashridge woods, love it there, plus they do the most scrumptious Cream Scones, yum.

Speaking of Yum, I was invited by The Ribbon Girl to guest for their colour challenge today, check out the gorgeous picture below, one of my favourite colour combo's.

And this is what I came up with, love this Tilda.  The papers are just yummy too and are from MajaDesign, all links at the bottom of this post.  The lace is called  15mmWhite Guipure Lace from TheRibbonGirl.

The butterflies are from the Magnolia Butterfly Kit from BunnyZoe.

A gorgeous close up of the Beaded Lavendar Gypsophalia, Starburst Stamen Lilac, Medium Lilac Trellis Rose 35mm, Canterbury Rose Pink and Pink open rose 20mm all from The Ribbon Girl.

Here's the flowers from top right hand corner; Daisy White, KortandGodt Lilac Rolled Rose and Pink Open Rose 20mm

Flower Fairy

Morning Crafters,

I am back again with another card using one of the most gorgeous, cutest Whimsy Flower Fairies, these images are just the cutest.  I have also tried out Mariska's paper piecing tutorial, something I have wanted to do for ages.  A word of advice though, I think it would of gone a lot better had I had the correct tools, i.e. the scissors and the correct glue.  I have just used ordinary glue and you don't get quite as much dimension.  The tiny elements on this stamp were rather fiddly but I do love the result.

The little paper bag that is holding the tag was white.  I used my copic airbrush system and BV000 to colour the bag lilac, something I'd be doing more of as I love everything to match.

The Design papers are from Magnolia called Hydrangea.  The flowers are from the Ribbon Girl and BunnyZoe. The gorgeous Emily lace, seam binding and twine  is also from The Ribbon Girl.

The beautiful butterfly is by Magnolia called "Butterfly Kit.  It comes with two different size butterflies and also the butterfly text which I have used just underneath the butterfly here and also can be seen on the left hand side. I have also used a 6x6 brick stencil and snow text to create the brickwall effect and positioned the butterfly onto.

Copic Marker Ingredients:-
Skin E00, E000, E0000, E11
Hair E43, E31, E29, E50
Lilac BV11, BV01, BV000
Cream E44, E42, E40

Everyone Loves Marilyn

Morning Crafters,

Hope you all had a good weekend and are ready for another week of inspiration from the LLC DT.  This week we have a photo inspiration from the gorgeous Louise and the photo is made up from items around Louise's house, OMG aren't they yummy, think I need to visit Louise's house for a vacation, I know I'd just love it.

Well my mojo is on a serious vacation and I do hope it returns soon.  As beautiful as Louise's picture is I have struggled to get myself into gear, I really don't know what is wrong with me but I hope it passes soon.  That being said this is what I have come up with. I have used a Stampsmith Stamp of Marilyn Monroe.  Everyone loves Marilyn don't they?  I have taken the turquoise, pink and white from the inspiration photo.  All edges were distressed with the blending tool and black soot distress ink.  You know I think everytime I'm in my craft room I use my blending tool, don't know what I'd do without it, lol.

Papers are from Maja Design Spring Basics 4th May and the turquoise is from Riddersholm called Camille.

Beautiful flowers, see thumbnails below and those gorgeous blackberries and apple.  I have also tied a bow using the lace petite and added one of the new shabby bark hearts to the centre.  The beaded heart was turned pink using my copic marker. All the flowers had a dusting of white gesso, well it's me so of course they would, lol.

I have also used a Melissa Frances Clay Corner, love these.

Now look at this beauty.  This is one of the Vintage Findings Teardrop Pearl Centres, note to self..... must add more to my next order.  I thought the prima musical note paperclip was perfect for Marilyn and also the Ranger photostrip.

Here's another view of the flower arrangement.

Have a good week everyone.
